10 Things We Desperately Want from MoMA Design Store’s New Catalog

The very first page of MoMA Design Store's new spring/summer catalog sums up why we get so excited whenever a new edition arrives. "Here at MoMA Design Store, we don't just select products, we evaluate them," it announces. An illustrated graphic underneath breaks down this scrupulous process: traveling the world to unearth singular products rarely seen before, applying über-high standards to those products (is it innovative and beautiful?), and ultimately putting everything under the MoMA curators' figurative microscopes to get their final stamp of approval. It's no wonder that the shop's collections knock it out of the park every season. There isn't a dud to be found in the latest catalog, but there are certain items that really had us swooning. Read on to see our ten favorite pieces.

T.S.S. Luminaire Table Lamp

If you're going to splurge on a lamp (and we admit this one is certainly a splurge), make it a design inspired by "an imaginary meeting between Brazilian modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer and Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson"—so mesmerizing it made the cover of the catalog.
